Can Seedance 2.0 generate native 4K?

As reviewed on 28 October 2026, full Seedance 2.0 officially supports native 4K. The inspected ChatCut integration exposes 480p, 720p and 1080p, and blocks 4K because its pricing route is not wired. Configured Ark probes timed out, leaving that endpoint's 4K acceptance unverified. Fast, Mini and 2.5 have separate output limits; no current ChatCut 4K price was verified.

What can I control?

The Ark public model ID is doubao-seedance-2-0-260128; BytePlus uses dreamina-seedance-2-0-260128. The documented duration is 4–15 seconds. Use text, a first frame, a first frame plus last frame, or reference mode. The reference budget is up to 9 images, 3 videos and 3 audios, with audio requiring an image or video. Frame and reference modes cannot mix. Reference-video and audio duration budgets apply as well as counts.

Prompt for a single take or describe shots in order. Check identity, motion and cuts after generation; reference conditioning is guidance rather than a guarantee. Native generate_audio:false exists, but the inspected ChatCut tool has no output-audio toggle. Native 4K, upscaling and exporting at 4K are distinct operations.

Try a short shot, then edit the result

  1. Open Video Gen and select the Seedance 2.0 option actually shown in your app.
  2. Start with a five-second, 16:9, 480p text or first-frame request: “A red paper boat crosses a puddle, low fixed camera, one shot.”
  3. Check the estimate before sending. Review the completed clip's continuity and sound, then trim, caption and combine it on the timeline.

A generated clip remains editable timeline media; its internal subjects are not separate editable objects. This review supplies no matched quality or latency benchmark.

Credits and related guides

Use Credits Policy and the current preflight quote. Compare the same provider, model, cohort, resolution, ratio, output duration and reference-video duration on a named quote date. Token settlement and separate Agent use can change total spend.

See Fast and Mini, Seedance 2.5, the model matrix, reference guide and failure recovery. The prompt examples can help structure shots without guaranteeing exact timing.

Last fact review: 28 October 2026. Official sources were accessed on 27 October; integration contracts and saved development checks were reviewed on 28 October. This is dated evidence, not a live certification of every production account. No new paid generation was performed for this page.

How to create AI videos with ChatCut

Start with text or a reference image, check the settings and estimate, then review the completed clip.

More control betweenthe idea and the cuts

Seedance 2.0 brings the motion. ChatCut keeps the references, revisions, and final edit in one continuous workflow.

Direct the destination,not onlythe opening

Set where the shot begins and where it needs to land. The motion in between becomes a controlled transition rather than a generation that wanders away from the idea.

Turn separate beatsinto one continuousmove

Use a sequence of visual moments to establish the route through a scene. Camera motion, subject movement, and pacing connect into a shot that reads as one idea instead of separate clips.

Keep the castreadable as thescene unfolds

Give every character a clear role and let the action carry the story. Reference conditioning can guide appearance and staging. Check the cast across the completed scene before selecting a take.

Hold a referenceall the waythrough

Bring a product, logo, or still into the prompt to guide its appearance. Review the completed clip for identity, shape, and text before using it in the edit.

Generate cinematic videos from a single prompt

Describe the shot, motion, and timing — then generate up to 15 seconds and continue the cut in the same editor.
